​​​​​​​Just a 90 minute drive from London awaits a healing and empowering weekend retreat in the beautiful Kent countryside, a few miles outside of Canterbury with prices from as little as £300 per person.

 

This retreat will provide you with an opportunity to disconnect from your everyday life, reconnect with yourself, take part in therapeutic and transformational workshops, revive and truly nourish all the parts of your glorious self. Delicious, nutritious food for the belly, yoga to energise and balance the body, meditation to soothe the mind and self-care focused workshops to support the soul in shining brightly.

Our Home

 

This will be my third time returning to the most wonderful venue. Our Kent home for the weekend provides the perfect countryside getaway. 

We have exclusive access to Howfield Manor, an independently owned, traditionally British hotel near Canterbury. The grounds are stunning, the staff could not be more hospitable if they tried and the rooms range from luxurious with jet baths in superior four-poster bed rooms to the cosy and the comfortable. All rooms have either an en-suite bathroom or showeroom and each come equipped with mini fridges, blackout curtains and hairdryers.

 

Ranging from superior king-size to twin and triple, rooms will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

 

All linen and towels are provided.

The Food

Throughout the weekend all meals are provided. The head chef at the hotel is amazing and will be cooking up a storm in the kitchen making EVERYTHING from scratch. The menu is varied and ranges from buffet style at breakfast and lunch to a three course meal served in the evenings. This gives you the option to pick the healthiest most nutritious dishes available and keep it light over the weekend, or to satiate your desires with the more indulgent (the cheesecake is ridiculously good) and obviously whatever choice you make, you can be certain it will be delicious! All ingredients are sourced from within a twenty mile radius of the hotel.

 

The menu will be meat-free with options for fish, vegetarian or vegan and gluten-free options and any other dietary requirements that you have will be catered to. There will be unlimited tea and coffee throughout the weekend.

 

Let me know of any dietary requirements or allergies and I will ensure that you are catered to.

Whilst there is no alcohol included in this weekend, it is your weekend to do with as you wish and there is a fully operational bar, so you're more than welcome to have a drink or two with dinner in the evening.

The Yoga 

 

The theme of the weekend is reconnection. After a crazy year and a half of having our worlds turned upside down, this weekend is all about coming home to the self, taking time to honour where we're at and offering the space for connecting back inwards.

 

You will be treated to four nourishing yoga classes and two healing workshops. The classes will include pranayama, asana and relaxation with a combination of vinyasa and yin and the workshops will be exercise and task focused. If you've been to my classes before then I'm sure you already know that the class will be both soulful and playful whilst creating the space for you to go deep into both the physical and philosophical aspects of the practice.

The workshops will include meditation, therapeutic techniques, spiritual practices, writing exercises and group work to open up a space for growth, healing an re-establishing the relationship with ourselves and the world that we deserve..

 

Whilst the classes and workshops on offer are all included, if at any point over the weekend, caring for yourself in a more unique and intelligent way means skipping any of the above and taking time for yourself then that is by all means encouraged. You are free to tailor the weekend to your own personal needs.

Check in is from 3pm on Friday and check out is 2pm on Sunday.

 

The venue is well connected just a two minute drive from Chartham Rail station, or a 10 minute bus ride from either Canterbury East or Canterbury West rail stations. 

To reduce your carbon footprint, and basically just make travelling to the retreat a bit more enjoyable I will contact you nearer to time should you wish to car-share or find travel buddies.
