Sammy Rainbow Furnival

Yoga Retreat
Kent, UK
10th - 12th February 2023
"I’ve never felt more accepted or welcome in a space full of strangers as I have at Sammy's yoga retreat. The weekend is the perfect place and time to connect, ground and nourish. The yoga was playful, informative and sometimes sweaty! The morning pranayama was a lovely way to start the day, learning techniques that can be easily added to every day life. The new friends are incredible. And last but definitely not least the food was amazing." Lorna - National Sales Manager
Less than an hour drive from London awaits a nourishing and empowering weekend retreat in the beautiful Kent countryside, a few miles outside of Tonbridge with prices from as little as £399 per person.
This retreat will provide you with an opportunity to disconnect from your everyday life, reconnect with yourself, take part in therapeutic and transformational workshops, revive and truly nourish all the parts of your glorious self. Delicious, nutritious food for the belly, yoga to energise and balance the body, meditation to soothe the mind and self-care focused workshops to support the soul in shining brightly.

It's time to make yourself a priority and invest in your wellbeing and after hosting my last weekend retreat at Oxon Hoath in April 2022, I know it is the perfect place to set that in motion.

Our Home
We'll be heading off to the picturesque Oxon Hoath Country Estate, set over 73 glorious acres of Kent countryside for our weekend getaway, where we have exclusive access to the property and grounds, in the hope to create an environment that allows you to feel as safe and comfortable as possible.
Our dedicated yoga space boasts high ceilings, incredible light and magnificent views over the gardens and the Weald of Kent beyond. There are also plenty of spaces in the property you can retreat to should you want a cosy environment to spend time alone, such as the stunning Jacobean Library or an abundance of open outdoor space should you prefer to soak up some of that fresh country air.

Many of the bedrooms retain their original mansion proportions and enjoy spectacular views. They are all centrally heated, elegant and comfortable and you have the choice of either twin, double or single rooms, also with two family rooms sleeping 3 or 4 should you be coming in a small group. Most of the rooms have ensuite facilities and those without have a bathroom close by.
Rooms will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
All linen and towels are provided.

The Food

Throughout the weekend all meals are provided, breakfast lunch and dinner and many of the fresh ingredients come just 200 meters from the kitchen in the Walled Garden where organic fruit and vegetables are grown. The dishes are often ‘Ottolenghi’ inspired and are presented with rustic elegance. It will be a fully vegetarian menu for the weekend, however dietary requirements can be catered to.

During your stay you are very welcome to tour the garden and delight your senses with its sights and fragrances and its unique micro-climate. You are also welcome to purchase any surplus produce that may be available at the end of the weekend and take it home with you.

There will be unlimited tea and coffee throughout the weekend.

Whilst there is no alcohol included in this weekend, it is your weekend to do with as you wish and there is a fully operational bar, so you're more than welcome to have a drink or two with dinner in the evening.

The Yoga

You will be treated to four nourishing yoga classes, two pranayama sessions and two workshops that focus on mindfulness, self-enquiry and connection. The classes will be a combination of vinyasa and yin and the workshops will be exercise and task focused. If you've been to my classes before then I'm sure you already know that the classes will be both soulful and playful whilst creating the space for you to go deep into both the physical and philosophical aspects of the practice.

The workshops will include meditation, therapeutic techniques, spiritual practices, writing exercises and group work to open up a space for growth, healing and re-establishing the relationship with the selves and the world that you deserve.
Whilst the classes and workshops on offer are all included, if at any point over the weekend, caring for yourself in a more unique and intelligent way means skipping any of the above and taking time for yourself then that is by all means encouraged. You are free to tailor the weekend to your own personal needs.

Travel
Check in is from 4pm on Friday and check out is 4pm on Sunday.
The venue is relatively easy to get to, less than an hour drive from London or if you're coming via public transport just a 15 minute taxi ride from both Tonbridge and Borough Green station.

To reduce your carbon footprint and basically just make travelling to the retreat a bit more enjoyable I will contact you nearer to time should you wish to car-share or find travel buddies.

“What a wonderful weekend. I had no idea what to expect as this was my first yoga retreat and Sammy made it such a wonderful time. Nourishing yoga, brilliant food and fantastic company, it certainly won’t be the last retreat I go on with Sammy. I would recommend it to anyone”
