Sammy Rainbow Furnival
'To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.'
Hello, I’m Sammy, a London based yoga teacher, offering Vinyasa, Hatha and Yin classes in various studios and workplaces around London. I also regularly host yoga retreats both in the UK and abroad and teach yoga teacher trainings in both the UK and Sweden.
My yoga classes are suitable for anyone that has a desire for a healthier and more fulfilling life. Whether you are a yoga Jedi or a yoga virgin, my classes are highly likely to leave you feeling better than when you arrived.
Since my first teacher training in India in 2014, I have continued to learn and have been fortunate to study with teachers such as Jim Tarran, Bernie Clark, Sarah Powers, Ana Forrest and Michael James Wong. I am forever grateful to all of my teachers who have helped to shape me into the teacher that I am now.
Yoga has been instrumental in supporting my healing, growth and development over the years and this is one of the reasons I continue to show up and share the practice every day.
Often people have expectations when you’re a yoga teacher about who you are and what your life looks like, but often the reality doesn’t quite meet the stereotype. So, here’s a little more information about me: I’ve got a very large derrière, my middle name really is Rainbow, sometimes I like to drink alcohol, most of the time I like to eat chocolate, my āsana practice is becoming increasingly slower as I age, I’m not very good at consistency, I have got a pretty decent sense of humour though, my meditation practice goes in and out, I’m a sucker for trash tv, sometimes you might find a little Drum n Bass in my yoga playlists and I am oh so perpetually imperfect.

"Sammy is one of the best teachers I have practised with, her classes have a unique style, they are tough and hard work but without being too quick, there is an opportunity to learn so much from Sammy's philosophical style as well as her quick wit because these classes are fun too! If you ever get a chance to go to her workshops then it is so worth it. I am hoping to take her teacher training course one day too as I feel she has so much to offer to anyone hoping to become a yoga teacher"
