Yoga Retreat
Buckinghamshire
, UK

3rd - 5th November 2023

"I’ve never felt more accepted or welcome in a space full of strangers as I have at Sammy's yoga retreat. The weekend is the perfect place and time to connect, ground and nourish. The yoga was playful, informative and sometimes sweaty! The morning pranayama was a lovely way to start the day, learning techniques that can be easily added to every day life. The new friends are incredible. And last but definitely not least the food was amazing." Lorna - National Sales Manager

Less than an hour outside of London awaits a nourishing weekend retreat at a beautiful riverside oasis in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire, the perfect serene setting to connect and unwind.

This retreat aims to provide you with an opportunity to disconnect from your everyday life, prioritise nourishing yourself and reconnect to that which really matters to you whilst in the company of a new group of friends all sharing the same intention.

Our Home

Set on the banks of The Thames, Our home for the weekend will be Riversdale Lodge, a luxurious new riverside retreat centre in Bourne End, just 40 minutes from London. Originally built in 1890, this historic, charismatic house has just been beautifully renovated to incorporate every luxury, including underfloor heating throughout, perfect for a November weekend away.

The bedrooms are finished to the highest standard, with single beds, beautiful decor and luxurious carpets and the bathrooms are spacious and superbly fitted with marble surfaces and Italian fittings. All linen and towels are provided.

The River Suite - This is the principal suite, adjacent to the idyllic roof terrace and with stunning views down the garden to the river. It is over 700 square feet, has a superking size French bed, a freestanding stone bath and a luxurious ensuite.

A long, tree-lined garden stretches from the house all the way to the river’s edge, ending in a large jetty overlooking the Thames and Cookham Moor beyond. At the end of the garden is the Meditation Orb, a warm, cosy space lit by twinkling lights, perfect for individual meditation or quiet reading.

The moorlands are a peaceful background to the jolly sight of boats gliding up and down the river and there are plenty of beautiful woodlands to go walking in during your free time.

Rooms will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

The Yoga

You will be treated to four nourishing yoga classes and two workshops that focus on mindfulness, self-enquiry and connection. The classes will be more dynamic in the morning and more relaxing in the evening. If you've been to my classes before then I'm sure you already know that our practices will be both soulful and playful whilst creating the space for you to go deep into both the physical and philosophical aspects of the practice.

The workshops will be largely task based and include things such as meditation, writing exercises and group work to open up a space for growth, enquiry and re-establishing the relationship with the self and the world that you deserve.

Whilst the classes and workshops are all included, if at any point over the weekend, caring for yourself in a more unique and intelligent way means skipping any of the above and taking time for yourself then that is by all means encouraged. You are free to tailor the weekend to your own personal needs.

All yoga equipement is provided, if you prefer to bring your own mat then you are most welcome, otherwise everything is already available in the yoga space.
